COMING SOON

Por supuesto, lo primero que debo poner en mi Javier Blog-In, es una foto o un video de mi primer hijo, quien nacerá a mediados de Septiembre de este año. Es un niño y será llamado Mateo. Nombre que escogimos rápidamente y sin problema, lcosa que no pasó con los nombres que pensamos en caso de que fuera niña. Desde la escogencia del nombre, cada cosa que he y hemos vivido con mi esposa Kathy desde el mismo momento en que fue concebido, ha sido excitante; la prueba de embarazo, los primeros meses, la primera ida al médico y por supuesto todas las veces que hemos ido a los ultrasonidos (ecografías) para ver como va el crecimiento del bebé. Es inimaginablemente impresionante (en el buen sentido de la palabra) sentir las primeras pataditas y ver como se mueve la barriga de Kathy cada vez que Mateo patea o se mueve con fuerza para un lado u otro. La felicidad que me envuelve es tan grande como el nerviosismo de ser responsable por una vida de un ser tan indefenso como lo es un bebé. Simplemente espero poder hacerlo con responsabilidad y sabiduría para asi poder educarlo para que tenga un buen futuro.

A new life is coming to this world, a new life that is growing inside my wife Kathy, a new life that will be born in September 2006 here in Toronto. He's name is Mateo, Mateo Castellanos, my baby, our very best creation.

Our life changed since the first time we knew about "our" pregnancy and I say our pregnancy because this is a two persons' deal. It is the both of us who are pregnant. Everything has been very exciting, pregnancy tests, visits to the doctor, ultrasounds, everything. This past Monday I felt, for the first time, Mateo kicking Kathy's belly and I could also see her belly moving when Mateo was rolling and moving and kicking inside of her. It is incredible that at this point with only five months, he moves as much as he does, being such a small baby. I am so excited about it but, at the same time I am very nervous because I want to educate my son in the best possible way. Not easy to do, specially in this world but I will try to do it with my heart and my soul, and I hope for the best.
