CRASH ADDICTS WEB SITE

Crash Addicts is a great combination of design, technology and culture. This webpage was designed by LIFECAPTUREINC, a Toronto's inteactive web design company, located in the hearth of the downtown. This is a new company with fresh people and many ideas, dedicated to create a new philosophy of design. I had the opportunity to participate in the creation of this webpage with some 3D animations. There is a very interesting interactivity in the modules designed that the user can even "play in the making" of a car to be used in a crash rally. 3D animation (Rigging and SFXs also) in "THE GARAGE" module was made by me as well as the camera animation and lighting and couple more things in the "DRIVE IN" module. Just follow the intructions to get to the "INTERACTIVE LANSDOWNE" and enjoy it.

MATEO: RISAS, AGUUUSS Y MANOS

Llevo un buen tiempo trabajando en unos proyectos de LIFECAPTUREINC y no he tenido realmente mucho tiempo para hacer estas otras cosas que me divierten, como editar este videito de Mateo y poner más fotos en mi blog o hacer otras tantas que he dejado de lado. Pero bueno, este video de Mateo que van a ver a continuación, fue filmado por Kathy alrededor del 28 de Noviembre. Para esa fecha, este bebesito ya llevaba unas tres semanas diciendo y respondiendo a algunos sonidos que nosotros le hacemos. Es de verdad muy alegre ver todas estas cositas que pasan en la vida de nuestro hijo. Espero lo disfruten.

I have been working (freelancing) for this amazing company LIFECAPTUREINC in the last weeks and I was not able to put anything in my blog. But this video of Mateo is so inspiring that I had to put it in as soon as possible. Kathy filmed it last week, and I did just a little editing to it today. I hope you all enjoy it.

JUST A LITTLE MORE OF MATEO

It is just amazing the way that time goes by and you don't even feel it. 7 weeks ago we were having a baby boy and today that baby boy is just so big that he is using his fist 3-6 months pants and stuff. There is no way to stop him from growing. Every second Mateo is a centimeter bigger. Time is going fast........

"El tiempo pasa, nos vamos poniendo viejos....." como dice la canción, y no nos damos cuenta. Solo al momento de comprar los pañales y cambiarle de "ropita" a Mateo. Ya casi me alcanza. Es como si por cada segundo que pasa su cuerpo se estirara más y más. Es realmente impresionante. Ojala lo pudieramos disfrutar un poco más de ese tamañito. Pero.... se va y se va.....

Y como si tener un hijo no fuera poco, la felicidad no puede ser mayor sin tener también una nueva sobrina. Esta es Julianita Castellanos, hija de mi hermano mayor Juan Pablo y mi cuñada Nana. Y claro, cargando a Julianita esta mi hermosa sobrinita Valentina, la ahora hermana mayor. Felicitaciones Lapo y Nana y Vale.

This is my new niece Juliana, my oldest brother's new born daugther who was born on Octuber 18th 2006 just after 6 pm. In this picture, Valentina is holding her little sister Juliana. Congrats to all the family for this new baby.

DE TAL PALO.... - WHO SAID HE IS NOT MY SON?

Treinta y pico años de diferencia y aparece esta fotocopia mia. Increible el parecido no? que no se diga que no es hijo mio porque definitivamente es igualito al taita. O que alguien se atreva a decir que no es asi.... Imposible verdad? La foto mia fue tomada a mi sexto día de nacido y la de Mateito a los veintiseis de él...... si, la única diferencia son los cachetes, es que yo era menor al momento de la foto. jajaja

Do you see any difference between these two pics? there is none, isn't there? But there is, one is a picture of my baby son and the other one is a picture of me, thirty some years apart. He looks just like me, doesn't he? I know, you are going to say that there is one difference and it is because he's been very well fed and I was not. hahaha, I'm just kidding....

I am Back

After a quite some time I am back here blogging a little. I am going to start posting some of my works as well as some of my new born babie's pictures. Thank you all for waiting.

WARNING

It is incredible, no body is safe in internet, not even when trying to do something fun, like a BLOG. I have been receiving this "cool" comments in my blog that are redirected to my e-mail address and the only thing that they say is "how cool my web page is" or "how nice the colors of my babie's black and white ultrasound is". This comments are part of the huge web casinos industries that try to do advertisement in any way, even through the work of other people. As a person that uses the internet everyday I find it very useful, but at the same time I am very sad that there is no way to be free of people wanting to take advantage of the technology and the different forms of communication. Because of it I am restricting my blog's comments section. If anyone is wanting to write something to me or make a comment of my blog, please write it and send it to my e-mail address. Those who know my e-mail. Thanks for the good comments to the responsible ones and too bad for the ones that do not respect anyone else's space.

Long Time Away

I know I have not been here paying attention to my blog but I am back. I have been working in my Final Film for Sheridan Cllege and it is keeping me busy, as well as my family and other things. This is a little of the first proofs that I have... There's still a lot to do to these images, more texturing, better lighting, and so, and so, and so....

Bike Animation

Esta es una animación que hice hace dos años mientras estudiaba en el Digital Media Arts College en Boca Ratón, Florida. La animación fue hecha sin ponerle joints al personaje que maneja la bicicleta. Solo utilicé parenting y key setting para ponerla a funcionar. Es una forma rudimentaria pero eficaz en este proyecto.

I made this animation while studying @ DMAC in Boca Raton, Florida two years ago. The character riding the bike has no joints or anything like that. It was made setting keys and parenting only. The same with the bike. The animation is rudimentary but it worked in this project.

@ High Park

This is a picture of my beautiful wife taken today at HIGH PARK, a very nice place to relax. Perfect in a Sunday afternoon. At this point Mateo (the baby) is in his 24th week, and still does not show to much.

Una linda foto de mi hermosa esposa (Kathy) tomando el sol en el HIGH PARK en la tarde de hoy domingo. Como pueden ver su barriga no está tan grande todavía a pesar de estar en la semana 24 de embarazo de nuestro hijo Mateo.
